Dental Repairs
Tooth Repair Service & Other Dental Services:
Tooth repair is the most common reason people come to a dentist. Not only do we do spectacular dental repairs, but we do it pain-free and using the most sophisticated tools, materials, and equipment available.
While this may sound a little technical to you, we use state-of-the-art equipment such as digital x-rays, advanced imaging diagnostics, computerized anesthetic delivery systems (that means no pain), and air abrasion with laser therapy instead of drilling.

Common general dentistry services we provide in St. Louis Park:
Fixing cavities – Restoring your teeth to health by repairing tooth decay.
Treating gum problems – like gingivitis and periodontitis. We use non-surgical, periodontal therapy, with CO2 Laser therapy and advanced bone supporting materials.
Repairing chipped teeth – using special composite materials to build up a tooth to look and feel normal.
Filing in gaps and spaces – between teeth using dental compounds or limited orthodontics (fixed or removable appliances).
Whitening stained teeth – by using professional quality whitening treatments to make your teeth look bright and natural.
Restoring proper bite and jaw alignment – to eliminate pain and damage to teeth from tooth to tooth contact, like grinding and clenching. We use state of the art crowns-caps, bridges or implants, and orthodontics.
Replacing missing teeth – utilizing approaches that allow us to replace a single tooth or provide you with full or partial dentures. We know how to give you back your missing teeth and a smile you can be proud of.
Replacing mercury fillings – Mercury was a common dental substance in years past. Today it’s possible to remove this neurotoxin along with its potential health problems, and the dark coloring caused by these fillings. We replace these fillings with bonded porcelain or composite resin that matches your natural tooth color.
Tightening loose teeth – which are both annoying, and can lead to more serious dental issues. After an evaluation, we can anchor them to give your mouth a solid base.
Snoring – can have its origin in dental alignments or blocked airways. After a thorough exam, it’s possible to build custom oral appliances that can give you (and those around you) a more restful sleep.
Tooth-saving procedures/Root canal therapy – We are able to remove just the diseased or broken portion of a tooth, avoiding tooth loss. The root is then filled completely and the tooth is cosmetically repaired.
Braces– cosmetic, lingual, behind teeth- removable appliances, Fast Braces, and Invisible Braces, colorful braces for children, and other approaches to dental tooth alignment.
Molar extractions – Wisdom teeth removal is a common procedure in our practice. You can even sleep through the procedure if you like. Come visit us and we’ll extract your molars in comfort and safety.

General Dentistry FAQ
How often should I go to my dentist for a checkup?
A main priority in our offices is prevention- prevent disease, decay and tooth loss. Your dentist and your hygienist can determine how often you should visit the dentist for a cleaning, but for most people, twice a year is sufficient. Regular checkups are highly recommended to fight against gum disease.
Why is fluoride important for your dental health?
Fluoride is a mineral that is naturally present in many foods and water. Fluoride has an important role in fighting tooth decay by making teeth more resistant to acid-producing bacteria. Over time, plaque and bacteria can contribute to the erosion of teeth enamel.
My teeth feel fine, do I still need to see a dentist?
It’s still important to see the dentist regularly because problems can exist without you knowing. Your smile’s appearance is important, and your dentist can help keep your smile healthy and looking beautiful. Just because your teeth feel fine you shouldn’t have to settle for unnecessary problems like stained, chipped, missing, or misshapen teeth.
Why do I need X Rays?
Radiographic or X-ray examinations give your dentist an important diagnostic tool that shows the condition of your teeth, their roots, jaw placement and the overall composition of your facial bones. X-Rays can help your dentist determine the presence or degree of periodontal disease, abscesses and many abnormal growths, such as cysts and tumors. X-rays can also show the exact location of impacted teeth. They can find the location of cavities and other signs of disease that may not be possible to detect through visual examination.
