Painless Dental Care: Why it Won’t Hurt

At All Care Dentistry, we really do understand your fears and concerns about pain during treatment. Most of us are actually dental cowards who also HATE pain, and really HATE needles – If you are uncomfortable, you can be sure we are too. We promise we will do whatever it takes to make sure you are comfortable and pain-free during your treatment. We draw on a wide array of pain management resources to make sure your dental treatment is as comfortable as it can be.

Pain Management Approaches

Our dentist will discuss all dental options within our pain-free dentistry and help you decide which one is best for your care.

Computerized Novocain Delivery

We use Compudent as our Novocain delivery system. It’s a small tool that delivers a computer-measured anesthetic without the scary needle you’re used to. That means no more shots. In fact, most people don’t even know they are getting “numbed up.” The types of remarks we get from almost all of our patients include, “That’s It?” or “What was that?” “I didn’t feel a thing,” and our favorite, “That was great!”

In addition to Novocain, we can offer other anesthetics that will guarantee you will be pain-free anywhere from fifteen minutes to a few hours. This will ensure your comfort both during and after treatments.

Conscious Sedation For Patients

When appropriate, Nitrous Oxide( N2O2), sometimes called laughing gas, is used as a calming agent. It’s an odorless gas that is combined with oxygen to reduce anxiety and offers some pain control. It is applied with a comfortable mask over your nose that allows you to breathe normally. The mild effects of the gas end immediately when the flow of gas stops, and there are no aftereffects. When used in combination with other pain management approaches, even a person with severe dental anxiety will be conscious and comfortable during dental treatment.

Nurse Anesthetist-Deep Sedation/Analgesia

When required, we have a licensed nurse anesthetist on staff who can administer I.V. sedation, equivalent to operating room standards.

With all of these anti-pain and anti-anxiety resources at our disposal, we can guarantee that your dental treatment at All Care Dentistry will be as comfortable and painless as possible.

Read What Our Dental Patients Are Saying

“When an issue came up with a tooth crown, All Care Dentistry accommodated me by getting me into the office quickly. Dr. Dave assessed the problem and corrected it within minutes. Wonderful service!”
“Had crown come off and they got me in the next day! Great dentist and support staff! Thanks!”
“Dr. Dave as I call him is not only a great dentist but a really nice guy. He is confident though not cocky and he’s a really good dentist. I’ve had a lot of work done on my teeth and if I’ve ever had an issue he’s fixed the issue immediately, and there have been very few issues. My teeth look beautiful and the prices are manageable. What I really like about him is that he’s honest and straightforward with you and he doesn’t sugarcoat anything. He also doesn’t make fun of you if your teeth are bad, he just tells you what needs to be done and it is what it is. The staff and the overall experience at this dental office is better than any dentist I’ve been to, and I encourage you to make an appointment, you will not regret it for one moment.”
“All Care Dentistry is the best! They all know me and my family by name. I live far away but I drive 45 minutes to an hour for my dental care. I like the fact I can call them when emergencies arise and they try their best to accommodate me. I encourage all my friends and extended family to try them. I can’t say enough about them. They are great at what they do.”

Common Questions About Painless Dentistry

What is painless dentistry, and how does it work?

Painless dentistry is a technique that uses various approaches to ensure a comfortable and pain-free dental experience. It involves the use of medications or techniques to relax and numb patients during dental procedures. Your dentist will discuss the options available and tailor the approach to your specific needs.

Why would I want pain-free treatment?

Painless dentistry is ideal for individuals who experience dental anxiety, fear, or discomfort during dental visits. It is also beneficial for patients undergoing complex or lengthy procedures.

Are there any side effects or aftercare considerations with painless dentistry?

Most patients experience little to no side effects with painless dentistry. However, after the procedure, it’s important to have someone accompany you home, as you may feel drowsy or disoriented for a short time. We will provide specific post-procedure instructions to ensure a smooth recovery.

What types of painless options are used in painless dentistry?

The type of sedation used in painless dentistry can vary depending on the procedure and the patient’s anxiety level. We commonly provide Computerized Novocain Delivery, Anesthetics, Conscious Sedation For Patients,  and Nurse Anesthetist-Deep Sedation/Analgesia. We will discuss the options with you and choose the most suitable one.
